HDT’s M8A3 is the smallest (12 CFM or 20.38 m3/h air flow) and least expensive form of collective protection used by today’s military. The M8A3 CBRN filtration system is used in vehicles that cannot be pressurized or whose mode of operation requires that the doors remain open, such as a ambulance or M88 recovery vehicle. The system provides enough air for breathing and/or defogging mask lenses, compensating for irregular fitting masks over the user’s face.

Components of the M8A3 filter system include:

  • M2A2 air purifier
  • M12A2 gas filter
  • M13 particulate (HEPA) filter
  • Hose assemblies and installation hardware
