2KR Series

Advantages:

7. Service ports are accessible from the front of the unit. NO need to remove the chassis from the sleeve.

10. A larger diameter drain line has been added along with a deeper drain pan

11. 10 Fins per inch evaporator and condenser coils. (Other manufacturers use up to 22 fins per inch). This causes dirt to build up quickly which cause the unit to shut down).

12. These coils are coated with a baked on corrosion resistant coating. (Others use no coating, allowing the coil fins and tubes to corrode, causing leaks and poor efficiency).

13. Plumbing is painted with corrosion protective finish.

14. All models have a slide out chassis for ease of service.

15. The 2KR Series are designed to operate with a dry condenser coil, unlike most other units which incorporate a slinger ring on the condenser fan to throw water on the coil to assist in the cooling process. The water when mixed with the dirt and other elements found in industry soon harden and damage the coil.

16. Nordic Air uses a totally enclosed blower/fan motor with a stainless steel shaft. (Other manufacturers use less expensive open motors which allow dirt and moisture into the motor windings which shorten the life).

17. A high and low pressure safety switch are standard on Nordic Air units. These switches save other costly components from damage. 18. Nordic Air units use a heavy duty 18 gauge G-90 Galvanized cabinet and chassis for long life.
