Power Distribution Unit (PDU)
HDT’s Power Distribution Units (PDUs) allow a user to hot swap a generator for actions which may be needed on another generator, such as an oil change or filter change, requiring shutting down the generator. PDUs allow for power redundancy in critical power applications such as hospitals, radar installations and communications. Two generators share the load, allowing for failure of one generator and no loss of power.
HDT offers three PDUs:
- A 120 AMP PDU equipped with two 60 amp Mil-Spec inlets and four 60 amp Mil-Spec outlets. The inlets and outlets are circuit-breaker protected at 60 amps. Amp meters (0 to 150 amps) are supplied to monitor the current on each phase.
- A 200 AMP PDU equipped with two 100 amp Mil-Spec inlets and four 60 amp Mil-Spec outlets. The inlets are circuit-breaker protected at 100 amps and outlets are circuit-breaker protected at 60 amps. Amp meters (0 to 250 amps) are supplied to monitor the current on each phase.
- A 400 AMP PCU equipped with two 200 amp Mil-Spec inlets and six 60 amp Mil-Spec outlets. The inlets are circuit-breaker protected at 200 amps and outlets are circuit-breaker protected at 60 amps. Amp meters (0 to 600 amps) are supplied to monitor the current on each phase.
