HDT has developed the next generation family of Energy Efficient ECU's (EEECU's) covering the range of 9,000 BTU/H to 120,000 BTU/H (2.6 kW – 35.2 kW). These ECU's deliver their rated capacity at 130°F (51.6°C) using the environmentally acceptable refrigerant R-410A. The EEECU delivers Energy Efficiency Ratings (EERs) 20% higher than the current ECU's available in the market (as measured in BTU/W).

The HDT EEECU is equipped with comprehensive on-board diagnostics, inrush current limiting, fresh-air input through an independent fresh air fan system, and a two-speed evaporator blower that provides more comfortable heat by reducing the effect of evaporative cooling. The unit includes a canvas condenser cover and a power cable.
