Quality Assurance

HDT provides engineering services and specialty products to domestic and international customers. To ensure complete customer satisfaction, comply with generally accepted engineering practices and abide by laws and regulations of the United States, HDT has developed a Quality Assurance Policy, an associated Quality Manual and a set of Standard Procedures. These documents form the foundation for the HDT Quality Management System (QMS), which is consistent with the requirements of American National Standards Institute/International Organization for Standardization/American Society for Quality (ANSI/ISO/ASQ) Q9001-2000, the American national standard for a quality system. The current system is compliant with the requirements set forth in ISO 9001:2000 and it is HDT’s intent to seek certification and registration of our QMS.

The QMS documentation, like all HDT documents, is maintained and controlled, ensuring that HDT personnel use only the most current version. Control is implemented through read-only posting to a HDT database. All changes to the documents are handled through the HDT document control procedures described in our Standard Procedures (SP). Revised documents are posted electronically and notifications of revisions are sent to personnel working on the affected program/team.

HDT’s management is committed to maintaining and continually improving the effectiveness of the QMS. This commitment is demonstrated through the continual improvement and maintenance of the quality policy, the monitoring of quality objectives, the provision of adequate resources, the conduct of managerial reviews, and the provision of quality training to management and staff. HDT welcomes and solicits all its personnel and associates to offer constructive changes to this QMS as we strive to continually improve our quality system.
